The Signature Reflective Wallet
Klaka is a well-established crafter in the LA cycling scene, and you can’t go anywhere there’s a fixed gear without seeing at least one person rocking one of their reflective wallets. I’ve been seeing them online for a while, so I was stoked when Klaka himself recognized Pink Tag Bags when we both boarded the 7 a.m. train out of DTLA headed to NACCC. With a 3-hour ride ahead, we got to chatting about our crafts and we both were excited to cop each others product.
Klaka makes all their products from reclaimed street signs, offering a durable material with a highly reflective finish. Since these are actual road signs, each wallet features a unique pattern, some even have bits of the sign’s lettering. The interiors are lined with fun, one-of-a-kind fabrics, which makes every wallet feel truly special.
Klaka offers a range of products, but I picked up his signature reflective wallet. I was one of his first NACCC customers, so I had the first pick of the bunch! Naturally, I went with the pink wallet with what was obviously the cutest liner, adorable kitties. :)
The wallet has two snap buttons, making it feel sturdy and secure. It has a small rivet in the top corner for a key ring, attached to a custom carabiner that’s printed with their logo and the slogan “Just me and my bike.” The silvery reflective strip adds a cool touch of style while reinforcing the grommet, so you can clip your wallet anywhere with confidence.
I’m incredibly happy with this wallet and plan to take it everywhere. It’s a perfect fit for credit cards and cash, though personally, I’ve been using it to carry my Pink Tag Bags stickers and business cards, so I’m always ready to hand them out.
Klaka is also an all-around great human being. He was super friendly, passionate about his craft, and confident in what he creates. He currently sells his products primarily in person and on Instagram, but he’s looking to develop a website soon.
